Tech baseball starts first practice confident about season

The Red Raiders felt their summer was too long.

After advancing to the College World Series in Omaha the year prior, last season ended abruptly after the Big 12 Tournament in May.

“We’ve got some guys who have been around this deal and have won a bunch of games and have been to Omaha,” coach Tim Tadlock said. “Our whole team knows we don’t want our summer starting until July.”

After too long of a break, Texas Tech baseball recently started its fall slate with its first team practice.

On paper, Tadlock’s pleased with the team he’s assembled.
