Tech adds Caldwell to basketball staff
Texas Tech women’s basketball coach Candi Whitaker announced the addition of Ray Caldwell to her staff on Monday. Caldwell will serve as an assistant coach.
In his eight-year tenure coaching different levels of basketball, Caldwell has coached 18 NCAA Division-I men’s and women’s basketball players and trained eight professionals currently playing overseas. He has also worked with three McDonalds All-Americans.
During that time, Caldwell worked with various teams, facilities, NCAA certification departments and scouting services to organize approved tournaments on a yearly basis.
Most recently, Caldwell has been a lead trainer and head coach at SA Finest Basketball in San Antonio, Texas, since 2007.
