The story of the season for TCU has been on the defensive side of the ball.
Coach Gary Patterson, heralded as one of the greatest defensive minds by Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury, has dealt with multiple injuries and how to fill the different positions each week.
So far this season, the Horned Frogs have lost linebacker Sammy Douglas, safety Kenny Iloka, cornerback Ranthony Texada, defensive end James McFarland, defensive tackle Davion Pierson and defensive lineman Terrell Lathan to various injuries.
Furthermore, linebacker Mike Freeze was given a personal leave after the season opener.
The Fort Worth Star Telegram reported Tuesday that Pierson could play today against Texas Tech.
