Corey Taylor was hanging out with his brothers in his bedroom upstairs when the phone rang.
The Texas Tech senior right-hander had turned off the MLB draft earlier in the day as the long, stressful wait was starting to bother the Texas Tech right-hander.
"We were just chilling when I got the call," Taylor said. "I couldn't really focus (with the draft going on). So, we were watching 'How I Met your Mother.'"
The phone call was from the New York Mets. They were selecting Taylor in the seventh round the Major League Baseball draft Tuesday.
