Texas Tech has one of the best running backs in the Big 12.
And two of the best quarterbacks.
It also has some of the best receivers — even if Jakeem Grant and Devin Lauderdale are a bit undersized.
And it has the best offensive line.
Still, the Red Raiders were picked eighth on the Big 12’s preseason poll Thursday.
That doesn’t make much sense on the surface.
Yes, Texas Tech was bad last season, but with all of those talented players coming back surely they can be better than another 4-8 season, right?
