LAWRENCE, Kan. — David Gibbs’ fingerprints were all over the place.
In how the Texas Tech defense responded.
In how they came up with a pair of stops when they needed it most and when they got the much-needed turnover to seal the win.
Do the Red Raiders defeat Kansas, 30-20, if Gibbs is never hired? Maybe.
But, I don’t think so.
Gibbs has brought a non-nonsense approach to the team and while the defensive improvements have shown at times, especially in the second half of games, it was never more apparent than in the final five minutes against Kansas.
