AMES, Iowa – It was a frigid 36 degrees in Ames, Iowa on Saturday.
But, Kliff Kingsbury’s seat must have been feeling nice and warm – maybe even hot.
Texas Tech’s 66-10 loss to less than mediocre Iowa State at Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday showed that his program is not going in the right direction.
It also proved Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt made a mistake.
A little more than two years ago Hocutt gave Kingsbury an egregiously big and early contract worth a potential $22.9 million dollars and a guaranteed $17.1 million.
