Texas Tech junior quarterback Nic Shimonek has had interesting week.
He watched from the sidelines as Tech starting QB Patrick Mahomes grabbed his right shoulder while after being driven to the turf.
Shimonek immediately grabbed his helmet and led the high-powered Tech offense back to the field.
In an article by ESPN's Mitch Sherman, he discussed the saying Tech seems to go by - "stay ready, so you don't have to get ready."
Shimonek said he is prepared to face Kansas State on the road if he has to do so.
Shimonek doesn't lack the confidence either.
