The first weekend of the Big 12 Tournament came to a close with Texas Tech standing victorious over Baylor in a 1-0 contest. The lone score came from Kirsten Davis, assisted by Jayne Lydiatt, early on in the 21’. When asked about the sequence, Davis stated plainly that “we knew exactly what we had to do this game to score. We’ve been practicing that play where Jayne gets the ball and I make the run to the opposite side and she plays me the ball and we score. That’s exactly what we did.”
