Red Raider fans grew quiet with every swish of every 3-pointer Eastern Kentucky sank.
That perimeter barrage put Texas Tech in a 15-point hole seven minutes into the game.
But then things changed.
A new lineup overflowing with energy and a hint of desperation powered the Red Raiders on a 15-0 run to tie the game.
That energy didn’t fade down the stretch as Texas Tech ran off with a 90-71 victory.
Eight of those points came at the free-throw line as the Red Raiders were more aggressive offensively.
They also showed improvement at the stripe from their first two games of the season where the Red Raiders were 25-41.
