Chad Bettis – Colorado Rockies
After more than a month of not playing due to a “hot spot” on his right-middle finger, Bettis came back this week on August 7 against the Pirates. Unfortunately, Bettis was credited with the loss, his first since April 29 against the Marlins. Bettis started the game and gave up nine earned runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings. He also walked two a struck out three. His ERA went from 5.10 to 5.67 after this game.
A few days later on August 12, Bettis started against a good Dodgers team.
