Red Raiders football notebook: Washington, Grant moving up charts

Texas Tech running back DeAndre Washington’s 248 rushing yards Saturday increased his totals to 1,282 for the season and 3,201 for his career.

The senior from Fort Bend Marshall has the eighth-highest single-season output in Tech history, having passed Bam Morris’ 1992 season with 1,279 yards. He needs 41 yards to pass Taurean Henderson for fifth place in career rushing.

Updating Grant

Jakeem Grant on Saturday topped 1,000 yards receiving for the season and 3,000 for his career as well as moving past Donny Anderson into third place on the Tech career list for all-purpose yards.
