The game went exactly the way it was supposed to. I give Coach Beard’s team credit tonight for jumping out to an early lead and keeping Incarnate Word out of the game. Tech led at the half with a score of 38-25 and they were able to keep IC at bay the rest of the way. The Cardinals are a team with a lot fight. Tech led by as many as 24 early, but IC cut it all the way down to 8 points early in the second half. Fortunately the Red Raiders withstood the Cardinals care and with about eleven minutes to go stretch the lead back to 15.
