The Red Raiders have already completed a quarter of their season.
Thus far, Texas Tech is 8-1 with the lone loss in Cancun as the Red Raiders ran out of time in a second-half comeback against Auburn.
Overall, the Red Raiders are second in the Big 12 with a 20.7 scoring margin.
As far as the RPI is concerned, Texas Tech comes in at No. 64.
The Red Raiders have only three more non-conference games before the challenging slate of Big 12 competition begins.
“Every coach would agree the purpose of the non-conference schedule is to get you ready for conference,” Tech coach Chris Beard said on the Big 12 teleconference Monday morning.
