A minute before the final buzzer, every Texas Tech student made their way to the two sections behind Baylor’s basket.
As they all crowded together with the clock winding down, their excitement reached its climax when time ran out and they rushed out onto the court.
That win over No. 4 Baylor was arguably the biggest of the season for the Red Raiders as it put them back on the bubble in terms of the NCAA Tournament — they are no on the “next four out” on ESPN’s Bracketology.
It also marked the first time since the 2007-08 season that Texas Tech topped a pair of Associated Press top 10 teams — the Red Raiders also defeated West Virginia when it was ranked in the top 10 on Jan.
