Texas Tech baseball announced earlier today their JUCO recruiting class has been ranked #1 in the country by Perfect Game. The class consists of five recruits, four of which are pitchers.
First up is right handed pitcher Brandon Birdsell, from San Jacinto College (TX). Birdsell was drafted in the 39th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros but decided to forgo the MLB to follow through with his commitment to Texas A&M, later leaving to transfer to San Jacinto College. Birdsell has clocked in his pitches in the upper-90’s and could find himself in the starting rotation when he joins the team.
