In 2012, Gary Moore was the center and H.B. Rosser the point guard on Clarksville’s Class 1A Division I state champion basketball team.
Now Moore’s a starting defensive end for Texas Tech and Rosser a cornerback for Stephen F. Austin, who oppose each other in a season opener at 7 p.m. Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium.
For Moore, there’s more to Saturday’s contest than making his second career start.
“It’s a big game for me,” he said, “just because it’s the first time I’m playing against a person I’ve been playing with my whole life — since we were little, little kids.
