While the Texas Tech-Delaware matchup has earned a much-deserved spotlight in the NCAA Lubbock Regional, don’t shy away from what could be another solid contest between Sam Houston State and Arizona in Friday’s nightcap.
The Bearkats and No. 18-ranked Wildcats are set to renew what may become a budding rivalry in a 6 p.m. Friday game at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
“We played them last year, I felt like we were right there in both games,” said Sam Houston State junior outfielder Bryce Johnson, whose team is in the midst of an eight-game winning streak.
