Pitching staffs
There are only three freshman pitchers in the country who have at least six wins and an undefeated record. Two of them take the mound Saturday in Fort Worth — Texas Tech’s Davis Martin on Friday and TCU’s Dalton Horton.
Horton and Martin are currently in the top 10 of the Big 12 with a 2.12 and 2.39 earned run average respectively. Meanwhile, the conference leader in ERA, TCU’s Luken Baker, was recently sidelined indefinitely after suffering a muscle strain in his pitching arm.
