Texas Tech’s quarterback depth chart picked up a much needed insurance policy from Utah State transfer, Henry Colombi. While Alan Bowman and Maverick McIvor are arguably the no. 1/no. 2 spot going into the 2020 season, there is some debate surrounding their game readiness in the wake of previous injuries. Colombi, a David Yost/Matt Wells recruit at Utah State, puts the Red Raiders in a much more comfortable position should one (or both) of our scholarship quarterbacks get injured throughout the season. Anybody can agree with that after losing Bowman last season and being unable to play McIvor whenever Duffey lost rhythm.
