Janine Beckie and Eric Gutierrez were announced as Texas Tech’s nominees for the Big 12 athlete of the year Tuesday morning by the conference.
Fans will be able to vote for their male and female choices from July 21-24. Fan voting will be considered in the final tally for selecting the award.
Both Red Raider student-athletes — and Big 12 Players of the Year in their respective sports — were seniors this past season as they left their marks throughout the record books and across the Texas Tech community.
Beckie played in 23 matches during the 2015 season.
