This week’s Hitter of the Week turned into Hitter of the Last Two Weeks. Sorry guys! My bad! The choice was easy though mainly because this week’s recipient was named Big 12 Player of the Week last Monday after hitting .583 with two home runs, two doubles, seven walks and eight RBI the previous week. Junior Josh Jung has been an integral part of the team’s victories and his performance the last few weeks has been hard to ignore.
Let’s start out with his performance two weeks back. On April 23, against the New Mexico Lobos, the Red Raiders, remained tied with the Lobos for a few innings, but finally took the lead in the seventh after back-to-back singles from sophomore Dylan Neuse and Brian Klein put runners at the corners.
