Honoring Jennie Bailey
Texas Tech will honor the late Jennie Bailey by wearing a secondary logo bearing her name below the double-T on the back of the Red Raiders’ helmets.
Bailey was an administrative assistant in the football program for 28 years who was beloved by players and coaches. Former Tech coach Spike Dykes called her “the epitome of what loyalty is all about.”
She died June 25 from cancer. She was 54.

Jakeem Grant has 1,152 kickoff-return yards, good for fourth on the Texas Tech career list. He needs 158 yards to jump Lawrence Williams (1,268) and Donny Anderson (1,309) for second.
