With the way that Mike Leach and his Air Raid offense influenced the way football is played, it’s not surprising to see former Texas Tech assistants and quarterbacks make their way into some pretty impressive positions. That said, some former Texas Tech assistants and quarterbacks might be facing a bit of pressure rolling into the 2025 college football season.
Take Sonny Cumbie for example. He’s the perfect example. His offense hasn’t exactly scored many points over in Ruston and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs haven’t had anything that resembled meaningful success under his guidance so far.
And that’s going to eventually frustrate some folks unless he’s able to turn it around sooner rather than later.
