Former Texas Tech linebacker Dakota Allen, who was kicked off the team in May and subsequently landed at a junior college, has been offered a scholarship to rejoin the program.
JuCo Football Forer posted the information on Twitter. East Mississippi Community College assistant coach Clint Trickett, the former West Virginia quarterback, confirmed the veracity of the report to A-J Media.
Allen spent this season at East Mississippi, where he was the leading tackler on a team that finished 11-1. He was credited with 117 tackles, as well as two sacks, a fumble recovery, an interception and five pass breakups.
