Folks, unfortunately, it’s looking like Patrick Mahomes is going to be out for the remainder of this season (and quite possibly a good bit after that). The former Texas Tech Red Raider quarterback who set a number of records while in Lubbock has apparently torn his ACL and will be going through a long, tricky recovery process.
Adding a slight bit of extra frustration for Kansas City fans would include the fact that Mahomes’ injury happened in a game that ultimately eliminated the Chiefs from making it to the playoffs.
This season has been unusually frustrating for the Chiefs as much of the past decade has been defined by great moments with Mahomes at quarterback, including three Super Bowl wins.
