Almost one month after McLane Carter posted to Twitter that he intended to transfer from Texas Tech, the former starting quarterback has found a new home.
Carter announced on Sunday, again via Twitter, that he has committed to play football at Rutgers University for his senior season.
Carter started the 2018 season as Texas Tech's starting quarterback before suffering an ankle injury in the season opener against Ole Miss.
In his absence, freshman Alan Bowman cemented himself as the starter of the future. Bowman threw for 2,638 yards and 17 touchdowns in eight games last season.
