Lifes highs and lows are coming at Trey Haverty all at once.
A week before Thanksgiving, Haverty and his wife Christy celebrated the birth of their second child. Right after Thanksgiving, Haverty was fired from his dream job.
The former Texas Tech receiver confirmed Tuesday he’s been let go as the Red Raiders’ outside linebackers coach.
“I’m a big believer God has a plan,” Haverty said. “If this is the worst thing that happens to me, I have a good life. We have 18-year-olds fighting for us overseas, kids with cancer. I realize that I’m blessed.
