Consensus all-America team includes 12 unanimous honorees

The NCAA on Thursday released college football’s consensus all-America team, a unit that featured 12 unanimous selections and three repeat honorees.

Consensus all-America status is conveyed on players who receive the most first-team all-America selections at their positions from the teams chosen by five entities: the American Football Coaches Association, The Associated Press, the Football Writers Association of America, The Sporting News and the Walter Camp Foundation.

Baylor offensive tackle Spencer Drango, Ohio State defensive lineman Joey Bosa and Utah punter Tom Hackett all were consensus honorees last year as well.

Drango also was among the 12 who made all five teams, along with teammate Corey Coleman and TCU’s Josh Doctson, both wide receivers.
