The Texas Tech Red Raiders could conceivably have the best defensive line in the Big 12 and it looks like they might have one of the best defensive lines in the country. That feels like such an absurd thing to talk about given the way Tech’s defense has struggled at times (and at times significantly so) over the past couple of decades.
But this season, thanks to some heavy duty recruiting on that side of the ball (and a really impressive NIL push for the Red Raiders) all throughout the offseason, it looks like Texas Tech might actually be really, really good up front on defense.
