Outside of forcing turnovers, the Red Raiders’ defense didn’t look any better against Sam Houston State than it did last season.
It gave up 45 points and 671 yards of total offense. That included a whopping 351 yards on the ground. The Miners gashed the Red Raiders last season and almost pulled off the upset, falling 30-26.
And if Texas Tech isn’t careful, they could do it again.
WHEN TEXAS TECH PASSES
The advantage is almost always to the Red Raiders when they take to the air. And that is even more pronounced against UTEP, which gave up more than 300 yards passing to Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen last week.
