On June 14th, Brandone Francis, a Florida Transfer, decided to make his new home right here in Lubbock, Texas.
That’s big news for the Red Raiders and Coach Chris Beard who since Francis’ announcement has already landed another transfer. Among a lot of speculation on what direction Coach Beard would be leading the Red Raiders, this Florida transfer is a safety blanket for Beard. Although Francis’ commitment is somewhat of old news, there is something to be said about the athleticism he will be bringing to the program. After watching several videos on Francis, the first thing that became evident to me was his willingness to attack the basket.
