Big 12 standings update: K-State Wildcats survive ugly matchup vs Oklahoma State

Well, the Kansas State Wildcats are technically one step closer to becoming eligible for a bowl game, but I’m not sure K-State feels all that great about that one. In one of the ugliest games the Big 12 has produced this season, the Kansas State football team escaped a matchup with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, beating the worst team in the conference in a 14-6 game.

And there are just levels of ugly to this one. Kansas State had just 14 first downs in this game while Oklahoma State had 23. The Wildcats had 284 total yards of offense while the Cowboys gained 373.
