A bettor that wagered $1,500 in November on Texas Tech to win the national championship is now just two wins away from a $300,000 payout. The bettor made the wager at the Superbook at the Westgate Las Vegas. The Red Raiders were getting 200-1 odds.
The bettor now faces a dilemma: Does he/she (the bettor's identity has not been revealed) keep trying to ride the Red Raiders' hot streak, or does the bettor "hedge" -- make a deal now that guarantees a lesser but more definitive payout.
The bettor is at least considering the latter option -- the ticket has been placed for sale on PropSwap, a secondary site that allows people to purchase live prop bets, for $65,000.
