FORT WORTH - When he was coaching at Texas Tech back in late October, Kliff Kingsbury said he would take Kyler Murray with the first pick in the NFL Draft.
After landing as the Arizona Cardinals coach after being fired at Tech, Kingsbury can now make good on that evaluation. The Cardinals have the first pick in the NFL Draft.
If it happens, Murray would be just fine playing for Kingsbury, he said Monday at the Davey O'Brien Awards dinner.
"I think, me and him are really tight. Great relationship with him," Murray said, remembering Kingsbury's endorsement.
