In last week’s “Around the Big 12” segment we took a look at the starting quarterbacks in the conference. This week we will analyze the starting running backs for every team in the same fashion. At the end I will provide my ranking for the starters for each school.
The Big 12 has a ton of talent at the position this year, with seven teams returning their leading rusher from last season. Many teams are confident in their backs, and the conference boasts one of the deepest pools of talent at the position.
After leading the team in rushing as a freshman with 445 yards and five touchdowns, Lovett will have to win the battle for starting position with junior JaMycal Hasty and fellow sophomore Trestan Ebner.
