MINNEAPOLIS -- After celebrating Texas Tech fans caused damage Saturday night in Lubbock, coach Chris Beard called for a responsible celebration.
"My message and my voice would be let's celebrate this, let's enjoy this, but let's do it in the right way, in a safe way," Beard said Sunday as his team prepared for Monday night's NCAA championship game against Virginia (8:20 p.m. CT, CBS). "But I want to recognize all the people that do do that the right way. All the people that spent their hard-earned time and money to come here.
"Our hotel [Saturday] night was electric, but it was safe and professional and just good.
