1. The Cardinals scored 70 points in Week 1
In a season-opening win against Kentucky Christian, the Cardinals won 70-7, marking their fourth-largest scoring output in program history. It was the first time Lamar has won a season opener since a 2015 win over Bacone College.
2. Last time Lamar played a Big 12 opponent, it didn't go well
The last time Lamar faced a Big 12 opponent, it suffered a 66-31 loss to Baylor in 2015. Oddly enough, one of Lamar's biggest victories was a 19-17 win over Baylor in Waco in 1981.
