Here are five takeaways from Texas Tech's weekly media conferences on Tuesday.
1. No concerns about Alan Bowman's bad game
Most seasons, a freshman quarterback is hardly expected to see the field, let alone become the starter for your team from Week 2 on.
But Bowman has been impressive since taking over for the injured McLane Carter during a Week 1 loss to Ole Miss. He has thrown for a Big 12-high 2,411 yards and has converted 15 touchdowns through the air.
However, Bowman had his worst game of the season against Iowa State on Saturday.
