Texas Tech has been reeling in the recruits this summer, including four-star defensive end Gilbert Ibeneme. The 2019 prospect committed to Tech on Tuesday via his Twitter page.
He joins defensive ends Tony Bradford and Steven Parker for the 2019 recruiting class. He hails from Pearland High School in Pearland, Texas. He chose Texas Tech over Oklahoma, TCU and Texas A&M. This is a big time recruit for Kingsbury and company, as Tech is beginning to climb up the recruiting class ranking as Tech is now ranked 4th in the Big 12 and 31st in the country by rivals.
