SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State sophomore women's golfer Geraldine Wong is scheduled to compete in the 2018 World Amateur Team Championship. The 28th running of the event will be held Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 at the Carton House in County Kildare, Ireland. The tournament winner will take home the Espirito Santo Trophy.
"We are excited for Geraldine to be representing her country at the World Amateur Team Championship," Texas State women's golf coach Lisa Strom said. "This will certainly be a highlight of her amateur career. Her teammates will be following along online throughout the week as we travel up to Oklahoma.
