NEW ORLEANS – A career best performance at the Lone Star Invitational earned Texas State's Geraldine Wong the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week award.
Earlier this week, Wong carded a 6-under par 210 to finish sixth in Humble, Texas and ahead of two top 100 golfers. Her to par score is the lowest in her career.
The senior carded a season-low 68 in the first round, which was also the lowest round of the year by a Bobcat golfer. It was also the first time in her career that she has shot even par or under for all three rounds of a tournament.
