Women's College Basketball: UT Arlington blows out Texas State

Sports Editor

There are times when Texas State really misses Kileah Mays.

The Bobcats' 80-48 loss to UT Arlington on Tuesday afternoon inside Strahan Coliseum was one of those occasions.

You know someone who was happy to no longer see Mays? Forward Rebekah VanDijk.

In three games last season against the Mavericks (all wins by the Bobcats, including a 52-46 triumph during the Sun Belt Tournament), Mays made life difficult for VanDijk (read: 12 of 34 shooting).

Yet, with Mays out of the picture (she graduated last spring), VanDijk led UTA's dominance around the basket (38 points inside the paint).
