SAN MARCOS, Texas — On the heels of the Sun Belt Conference recognizing 174 Texas State University student-athletes for their accomplishments inside the classrooms, the conference also awarded plaques to the Bobcats' women's basketball and women's soccer programs for earning the highest grade point average in the SBC for their sports for the 2019-20 academic year.
The Texas State women's basketball team concluded the academic year with a conference-best 3.4. GPA, while the Bobcats' women's soccer program earned a 3.76 GPA for the school year.
"This is a tremendous feeling," said Texas State women's basketball head coach Zenarae Antoine, whose team won the same award two years ago, too.
