SAN MARCOS, Texas – Despite a strong first half showing, Texas State women's basketball suffered a 66-58 loss to Old Dominion on Wednesday afternoon. With 3,000 kids in attendance for the Bobcats annual 'Kids Game' the crowd was a difference maker in the Bobcats 33-22 lead at halftime.
A 17-point second quarter was the highlight of the night for the Bobcats as they were able to hold ODU to just eight points that quarter and take an 11 point lead into the halftime break. The Bobcats shot 44.4% in the second while the Monarchs shot just 20.
