With the regular season behind them, Texas State eager to attack Sun Belt Conference Championships

TROY, Ala. — The last trip to Troy, Ala., resulted in good fortunes for the Texas State softball program, so the Bobcats will look to double down when they begin play in the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship on Wednesday, May 12 at 5:30 p.m.

The second-seeded Texas State Bobcats (36-10, 17-6) will place the 10th-seeded Georgia State Panthers a day after GSU upset the seventh-seeded Georgia Southern Eagles, 4-1, on Tuesday, May 11. Wednesday's action can be viewed on ESPN+ with Matt Stewart and Alex Powers describing the action.

Wednesday marks the first time Texas State and Georgia State have linked up in the Sun Belt Conference Championships since facing off in the quarterfinals of the 2017 edition of the tournament when the Bobcats won 5-2.
