SAN MARCOS, Texas – For the second week in a row and coming off another weekend of record-setting performances, Texas State's Alyssa Wilson was named the Sun Belt Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending March 27, the conference office announced.
While Wilson picked up four different first place finishes at two different meets last week, her biggest performance came in the hammer throw. In the event, Wilson set the school record two different times and raised the standard in the nation for the event each occurrence.
At the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on March 24, Wilson threw 69.
