‘We Made a Jump Today:’ Bobcats continue to put pieces in place against Aggies

SAN MARCOS, Texas — It wasn't the result Texas State volleyball fans wanted Tuesday night against Texas A&M, but it was progress in the right direction, according to head coach , despite the Aggies knocking off the Bobcats in straight sets.

In front of a season-high 836 attendees Tuesday night, Texas State (2-8) raced out to a 17-13 advantage in the first set. But a 7-3 Aggie run tied the set at 20-20. Texas A&M (7-2) continued the run by scoring five of the next six points to win the set.

The second set was a lot of the same from the first set as Texas State held an 11-7 lead, then eventually a 21-19 advantage until Texas A&M went on another 6-1 scoring run to close out the set.
