SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's basketball head coach Zenarae Antoine announced the addition of Bucknell University transfer Blake Matthews on Friday.
Matthews, a Houston native, returns to Texas after two seasons with Bucknell University in the Patriot League. Last season at Bucknell she played in all 30 games with 24 starts. In her career she's averaged 6.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and three assists per game. She's had seven double-digit nights including a stretch of four-straight games in four of the team's last five games of the 2023-24 season.
"Blake is a 'lightning bolt' on the floor," Antoine said.
