NEW ORLEANS — The Texas State volleyball program reaped the benefits of a successful 2021 season when the Sun Belt Conference announced its preseason accolades for the upcoming 2022 on Tuesday afternoon.
Last season's Sun Belt Player and Setter of the Year Emily DeWalt was selected as the league's preseason setter of the year for the fourth consecutive year, while Janell Fitzgerald, who was selected as the conference's offensive player of the year in 2021, was honored as the league's preseason offensive player of the year for the second consecutive year.
